STEFFLONDON – ENVY US FT, ABRACADABRA
Stefflondon is going to be a STAR! This mixtape really showcases her talent and there are single worthy tracks all the way through the tape. ‘Envy Us’ is a banger! Alongside the wicked lyrics, melody and catchy beat Steff and Abra both show their versatility. I love the last verse where Steff raps and switches up the flow, absolutely sick!
MIST – MADNESS
Mist is another future star. His video for ‘Aint The Same’, a previous tune featured on one of our playlists has just reached over 5 million views and his buzz is building rapidly. The Birmingham rapper’s new tune ‘Madness’ is exactly that, a madness. The tune is deep. Deep to the point where the video will make you a little bit emotional as he talks about his mother who has sadly passed away. Mist has a unique ability to make you really feel his pain and relate to his story, whether he’s talking about family or flossing.
CHIP X SECTION BOYZ – IN MY SECTION
Chip links with South London collective Section Boyz for this melodic banger. It’s a wavey tune that’s perfect to drive to. The beat is cold and Chip lays the chorus perfectly.
AJ TRACEY – PASTA
This tune is massive! AJ comes with the singalong bars over a bass heavy beat. The video most definitely does the song justice too. AJ will have a massive year in 2017.
KOJO FUNDS – DUN TALKING REMIX FT. FREDO, YXNG BANE, FRISCO & JME
The original with Abracadabra was a banger but Kojo Funds has called in an all star line-up for the remix! I was surprised to see Frisco and JME on a track with some of the new school artists, especially as it’s not a grime track, but every artist adds something different to the track. Recently there’s been a few remixes that seemed forced but this one flows really well. A big tune!
ANGEL – FVXK WITH YOU
Angel samples classic RnB on his new mixtape and this is a really nice chilled out tune. Say No More.
