#FriendshipFriday on Friday 10th November with @Kidscape

We all love friends right? We need them! Here at MFF we encourage everyone to have healthy relationships with friends. For our children, their friendship groups play a massive part in their upbringing and go a long way to defining their childhood experience. It’s always the right time to make new friends. Friday 10th November is #FriendshipFriday, when children’s charity Kidscape (www.kidscape.org.uk) celebrates friendship and encourages everyone to extend the hand of friendship to new people.

Kidscape is an anti-bullying charity that believes that all children should grow up in a world free from bullying and harm, with adults who keep them safe and help them to reach their full potential.

On #FriendshipFriday, children across the country are invited to take part in a non-school uniform day that celebrates the importance of friendship while raising vital funds for Kidscape. Pupils donate £1 to come to school dressed in yellow, the colour of friendship.

This year #FriendshipFriday is on the Friday before the UK’s national Anti-Bullying week.

To mark #FriendshipFriday, we would love you to organise a playdate with your children’s friends. The playdate could be with someone you already know or, preferably, someone you’ve never had a playdate with before. We’d love to see how you get on, so please take a photo of the friends holding hands, high fiving or fist bumping (just make sure we can’t see their faces if you don’t want them identified). Please then share the image on social media or a selfie wearing yellow if you can’t arrange a playdate, and use the hashtag #FriendshipFriday!
