MusicFootballFatherhood, the Watford FC Community Sports Trust and our amazing partners have come together to host Extra Time – a football themed fatherhood conversation for dads!
The aim of the event is to help dads form new connections, create a safe space for conversation and increase awareness of local and national support services.
The event, to take place at Watford FC’s legendary Vicarage Road stadium, will bring local dads together as a supportive group to have discussions around fatherhood. We’ll be learning, supporting each other and sharing our experiences and perspectives around mental health and wellbeing, work/life balance, bonding with our children and thinking about what it means to be a dad and man in 2023.
We know that dads don’t often, if ever, get the opportunity to be part of something like this. So we want to create a space for men to feel inspired and ready to carry on doing their best for their families and for themselves.
In addition to this, we’ll be sharing resources and talking about some of the local and national support available through our partners: NHS Hertfordshire, One YMCA, Prostate Cancer UK and Wellspring Church.
Attendees will be hear from guest speakers, take part in some pair and whole group discussions, be part of a Watford FC themed quiz and even get a special exclusive stadium tour!
