We Independent, baby! A message from our founder, Elliott Rae

As I’m sure you know by now, I wrote a piece in The Independent that was published on Monday 10th July. The piece was all about my experience at mid-week baby groups and the overall lack of representation of black fathers in the media. The article was the most shared piece in The Independent on Tuesday, reaching 10k shares in 48 hours and 15k shares by the end of the week! The article has touched so many people and already started to change the perception of black fatherhood in the UK. The positive response to the article only reaffirms the need for MFF, which makes me even more determined to keep on doing what we do and take it to the next level.

Our team is growing and we have some amazing people on board. Writers, contributors and content creators who will all be working to make sure that MFF is THE go to place for dads. There is so much we can and have to do to add more value to our community. It’s exciting times and it’s great to have you on board.

Thanks to everyone that has posted, RT’d, liked, Whatsapp’d and helped to spread the article around. We’ve built some great new connections since the article was published so look out for some more big moves from us soon!
