Sharing dad’s stories

It’s what we do. We’ve been having some amazing discussions as part of our DAD2DAD instagram stories series hosted by our very own Matt Brown. We’ve had discussions with Jacob Kelly about his experiences of Post-natal depression and ADHD, we spoke with Cal-I Jonel about making time to pursue creative interests and balancing family and on Monday we spoke to Gareth Smith about being a dad with a genetic and progressive visual impairment.

If you missed any of these and want to catch-up, have a look on our instagram here.

We’ve also been sharing stories through our #DadStories campaign. Some amazing dads have shared with us, like Peter who suffered a devastating stillbirth and now dedicates time to working with the baby loss charity SANDS and Jonny who’s beautiful and courageous daughter has Cerebral Palsy. Click on the pictures below to read their whole stories and stories of other dads. We do this to break down the stereotypes of dads but also to support others who are experiencing a similar thing, we hope it helps.

And what else

So what else has been going on? We’ve been planning an amazing campaign around our DAD book in the lead up to Father’s Day in June and we are really looking forward to unveiling that – it’s super exciting!

We’ve been having more discussions with football clubs and we have a couple of exciting developments to bring you soon. We’ll be having some Extra Time events at some of the biggest clubs in the UK. Extra Time is our football themed fatherhood conversations which take place in football stadiums. Read more here.

We’ve also been working hard on the Working Dads Employer Awards which we co-founded alongside the University of Birmingham. The awards will be celebrating employers who are supporting working dads. The award ceremony will be taking place in Parliament on 24th May, you can read more about the awards here.

We’ve been doing talks and workshops with some of the UK’s biggest companies, all about supporting working dads, men’s mental health, masculinity & allyship and inclusive leadership. If you think your company could benefit from this then get in touch! You can read ore about our workshops and keynotes here.

We’ve also been recording lots of podcast episodes and will be relaunching our #DaddyDebates podcast really soon.

Ok time to take a breath and have some down time over Easter.

Have a great rest of the week!
